Creating a Water Reflection

 

1st Phase

Create a new document  in Photoshop. Choose  black for the background. Import some picture, for example the one like this:

 

2nd Phase

Select Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical to create a simple reflection and place it below the origin:

 

 

3rd Phase

Then choose Filter > Liquify to contort the reflection. The Brush tool from the Tools tab will  help to arrange the lower edge of the new image. “Airbrush Soft Round 200” will do. You will get the following:

 

 

4th Phase

Create a new layer above the one you have. Insert a rectangle in it and choose the color #633100 for the background. Set the blending mode for layers to “Color”  in the  Tools tab. And enjoy the masterpiece:
