A Simple Christmas Tree

1st Phase

Create a 400x400 pixels document in Photoshop with transparent background. Create new layer and draw a silhouette of a Christmas tree using the Polygonal Lasso Tool. Go to Quick Mask Mode (Q) and click Edit. The silhouette should stay transparent and the background becomes pink.

2nd Phase

Choose Filter->Brush Strokes->Sprayed Strokes. Set all the parameters as they are shown on the picture below, and the silhouette will shape into a Christmas tree.

Press Q to exit Quick Mask Mode and deselect the silhouette. Fill the silhouette with color, for example #36541e. Select the layer with the tree and choose Filter->Stylize->Extrude.

Use the Clone Stamp Tool (S) to remove all black lines. Without them the tree looks more natural.

3rd Phase

The tree decoration. Any toy or confectionery pictures will do for this. A red ribbon will make a nice contrast with green.

Some presents below the tree will complement holiday spirit of the picture.

The presents will look better if you fill Layer 1 with white before adding them.
Here is the fairy result.

Enjoy the result!
