Flash Fade and Fade out Effect ready

Do you want to know how to fade images in Flash? Then this article is right for you. The fading effect you see in the example can be used with both images and text, and this is a widely spread Flash effect.
Please, take into account, that Flash Player 7.0 and Flash MX should be installed on your system.

 

 

Here are the steps for you to follow:

  • 1.Create a new file. Select File → New. Now you a have a screen called New Document. Select Flash document and give the file size the following parameters: 300 px by 200 px. This is exactly the same size as we have in the sample.
  • 2.Select and bring to the Flash Library the Bitmap pictures which you would like to Fade and Fade out from your picture file. Select File → Import to Library from the Menu Bar. You will see a screen called Import To Library. Choose the name of the file and click on Open. Repeat  the instructions for each Bitmap picture. Go to Windows → Library and you will open Library. You will see pictures in the Library panel.
  • 3.Now it's time to drag the picture from the Library panel to the Stage. Now select the picture just making a click on it. Go to Modify and select Convert To Symbol from the Menu Bar. You will see a dialog Box called “Create new Symbol”. Give the name as pic1_mc. Select Movie Clip and click on OK.
  • 4.Click on your Movie Clip and go to Frame 15. Insert a Keyframe. Make a right-click on Layer 1 in the middle of the frames 1 to frames 30. The chosen frames will become black. Select Create Motion Tween. You will see an arrow from Frame 1 to Frame 30. now click on Frame 60 and insert  Keyframe. The second arrow will appear by default.
  • 5.Click on Frame 1. Here we will give the picture the Fade effect. Choose  the picture by clicking on it. Go to Properties in the panel below the Stage. Select Color → Alpha and 0% to it.

    Now your picture has faded in. Click on Frame 60. Add there the Fade in effect. Choose the picture by clicking on it. Select Properties in the panel below the stage. Select Color → Alpha and give 0% to it.
  • 6. Repeat the actions 1 to 3 in Layer 2 from the Frame 60 to 120. In order to make a new layer, click on the button



    This button is on the right side below the layers. Repeat these steps for all the images in new layers. With this you will create a Fade in and Fade out animation.
