Motion Guide in Flash
Motion Guide is moving the symbol in a predetermined path, they may be circles or curves, etc. Download .fla file (it is given in the end of the tutorial) and learn how to move Flash objects in curved, circular and even zig zag paths using Flash motion guide.
Please, remember that you should have an installed Flash Player 7.0 in order to view the Flash animation. Instal Flash MX 2004 to download the .fla file.
So, let's start.
1.create any graphic symbol or take already exiting graphic symbol from library to the stage. Give the name “graphic” to the layer.
2.Make right click on the “graphic” label, choose “Add motion guide” from pop-up window.
3.You will see a new layer atop of the “graphic layer”, it will have “Guide:graphic” label together with the guide icon.
4.Draw the path using line tool or pencil in this new layer for your symbol to move.
As an example, we have drown a circle for the car.
5.Choose frame 50 of guide layer and press F5 in order to insert frames.
6.Now return to “Frame 1” of “graphic layer” and drug the symbol to an end of your path. When you drag the symbol a bubble will appear on it. The bubble should go below the path exactly. This will look like the example below.

7.Return to “Frame 50” of “graphic layer”, press F6 for inserting a new keyframe.
8.Now it is time to drag the symbol to the opposite end of your path. The bubble again should go exactly below the path.
9.Choose any frame from 1 to 50 of your “graphic” layer. Make a right mouse click and select “motion tween” from the pop-up menu.
This is it, you have completed the work. Press Ctrl+Enter to see what you have.
Enjoy the result!
