Working with Layers in Flash

In this lesson we will show you how to work with layers in Flash MX 2004.
If you haven't studied how to create Motion&Shape tween, please, go through them first, because they are the basics of the very tutorial.

For a successful work, Flash Player 7.0 and Flash MX 2004 should be installed in your computer.

So, here are the steps to follow:

1.By pressing Ctrl+N you will open a new flash file. New Document window will appear. For making the file in a flash type, select general panel, choose Type: Flash Document and press OK.

2.To open your time-line window, press Ctrl+Alt+T.

3.You will see a single layer called “layer 1” in the timeline Window.

4.Create a Shape Tween on Layer1. It should be like the one in Shape Tween Tutorial.

5.Single click on “add new layer button”.

6.Now a new layer is added. It will be called “Layer 2” by default.

7.Create a Motion Tween for Layer 2. It should be like the one in Motion Tween Tutorial. After
having created the two layers, your timeline will look like our timeline picture below.

8.To view your motion tween press Ctrl+Enter

Enjoy the result!
